If any of you are paying attention you’ve probably noticed I haven’t posted about my great deals in a while. Well, it’s because these places just don’t ship to France. I moved to Paris 2 weeks ago, so I’m in the process of figuring out where to get super wonderful deals on super wonderful things here, and I’m just deleting any tempting emails from Gilt or Ideeli, because it’s just impossible for me to get things shipped here! At least easily or cheaply. On the plus side, this means I have more money to put towards my future flat/closet. Yay!

I was in need of a new welcome mat and when I saw this one on HauteLook.com I decided that it would do. $14.99 plus $11.95 shipping (not so pleased about that, it took it up almost to retail price) It matches my porch, and with animals coming and going, it just made sense. Unfortunately, my cat has been not only wiping his paws on it, but trying to shred it as well. Ah well…. maybe I’ll get a cute picture out of it next time I catch him.

A month or so ago, I purchased a month of unlimited Capoeira (an Afro-Brazilian martial art) classes for $45 from Gilt.com, and yesterday I took my first one. I have to say, after Krav Maga, this is so much more fun! We were doing cartwheels, and backflips over exercise balls! Not that I don’t appreciate Krav Maga, I do, and I plan to take more later. I took that class for about 4 months, and will test through to level 2 in March, but I knew I couldn’t do both KM and Capoeira (they classes are on the same day, for one). Even though I crapped out a bit when it came to doing crunches at the end of class, and I gave myself a big bloody blister on my toe, I really enjoyed Capoeira. Thank you, Gilt!
